| 2010 Second Quarter News from Unitask | Greetings, Welcome to the Unitask customer newsletter, where you'll find updates on the company, products, and the Oracle community on a quarterly basis. | | A Note From Unitask's CEO As we prepared to exit a very successful Collaborate session of OAUG this past weekend, I have been asked on several occasions to comment on Oracle E-Business Suite architecture. The question has philosophically been one of architectures of self- versus cloud- hosted, local versus remote. While the question asked is in context of one versus the other, my perspective has been one which has raised eyebrows. You must be insensitive to location. The modern enterprise is insensitive to location and demands based on data and value-added information. Data must be available immediately, irrespective of being in the local data center, on the campus network, or connected via mobile enabled connection. The nimble enterprise is architected to respond to the customer, business, and user with speed and agility-it is not limited by the core location methodology. The nimble enterprise is both local and it is remote; it is self hosted, it is hosted in the cloud. The architecture that demands one will soon demand all. Count on it. I look forward to your thoughts. Best Regards, Dale D.
