Communication issues have been around since the stone age when humans used
flint to etch messages in stone. However, one would think that today with
all the different ways to communicate, such as instant messaging,
text messaging, e-mail, cell phones, etc., it would make communication easier. In fact, with all these different ways to reach someone we have created yet
another communication problem. We have no idea which communication method will be the best in order to reach
someone. But how does this relate to the E-Business Suite?
While getting important
information to people at the right time is difficult, it is practically impossible
within the E-Business Suite. Sure, you can send them an e-mail telling them to
log off because of an unplanned maintenance window, but what if they are not
logged on to their e-mail client. You could always try calling them
to ask them to log off, but what if they are not at their desk? Now you've spent
15-20 minutes trying to get a hold of one user. That is not a very efficient
way to communicate.
The good news is that Unitask has
